About the Book
"Writing, venting, so much to do! Crying and living, people to sue! But what would you do, having given some love, take it and throw it, or give it a hug? I treat it kindly, because love is like people; sensitive and shaky, stupid and fickle. So live with a smile, stay a little while; we'll miss you quite dearly, in that last, dying mile." When you first wake up, what is it that gets you out of bed? The promise of coffee or tea, perhaps a good show or movie? Well, ladies and gentlemen, it is my dearest wish that this book, Born of the Stars, will be your reason. Your reason for gripping life by the tail each day and holding to it stead-fast. This compilation of my personal poetry is not just a book meant for anyone. It's meant for those who need a little kick of inspiration, a little warmth, and a touch of empathy. Please, enjoy my book, and may it find you in good health and bring you as much joy as each and every work has brought me.
About the Author: The name's Emily. But you can call me Emmy...or Madam Xavia, Prince Bunni, or just Twink. I have many aliases for many reasons. Simple yet complicated. Yeah, that's one way to describe me. I dress how I want, according to my mood or my setting. I like to smile a lot because I'm ever-the-optimist. I sleep as much as I can during winter, like a bear going into hibernation.Though during the summer I turn into a night owl. I'm in love with all things, so to narrow it down, cats, big dogs, anime, books, drawing, any form of art, writing, english classes, school, organization/cleanliness, small talk, sweets, chivalry, gentlemen, adorable knick knacks, letters, music of all types, odd things you find at odd stores, and driving about sums it up. Of course, there's so much more than just that. I'm a collector of lots of things. My antique collection is the one I prize most. Other collections consist of posters, bottles, books, animes, manga series, movie tickets, watches of all kinds, and glasses. I have four cats named Bella, Jasper (yes, they are named after the Twilight characters), Kyo, and Tohru (Fruits Basket, anyone?). I love them very much. I used to have an Alice as well, but she ran away during my transition from Dallas to San Angelo. I still get upset about it, so I don't like to talk about her much. My family is huge. Huge as in four-brothers-and-two-sisters, thirteen-nieces-and-nephews huge. I love them all and my mother is the person I adore and protect the most. I take a lot after my father in personality, so therefore I am very clean and organized, intelligent in school, creative with everything I do, and big lover of blues, jazz, writing, english, and all forms of literature. As for my looks, I have short, blonde hair (and I refuse to grow it out in any shape or form), forest green eyes, one dimple in my right cheek, a round face, and small nose. I have large breasts (36 C) and I am 5'4" with size 8 feet. I grew up kind of chubby, but as I progressed, I've finally come to the skinny, hour-glass shape I have today. Though a lot of me could care far less about my physical attributes. It's my personality and my mind that I cherish most. So when it comes down to it, I refuse to gift anyone with a moment's thought if they only look at me for my weird sense of boyish fashion, my refusal in wearing makeup, or my body. Because in my book, these people aren't worth what a pig could spit, as quoted from Sweeney Todd.
