Se trata de un cuarteto emparentado por un extrano lazo moral. Son cuatro magnificos escritores y profesores universitarios latinoamericanos de Ciencias Sociales –Historia, Economia, Derecho, Politica–, situados en distintos paises, desde Argentina a Guatemala, que defienden la libertad, la democracia, el mercado y los derechos y responsabilidades individuales. Eso es muy poco convencional. La intelligentsia latinoamericana –y puedo agregar la espanola–, como regla general, suele ser estatista, como sucede en casi todas las latitudes. Los escritores, artistas plasticos, musicos, cineastas, actores, autores dramaticos, los catedraticos y estudiantes de Ciencias Sociales y de Humanidades (antropologos, sociologos, arqueologos, filosofos, teologos, pedagogos, periodistas, etc.), se situan a la izquierda del espectro politico, es decir, se colocan, con variable intensidad, en el campo del estatismo. Acerca de los autores Angel Soto. Doctor en Historia, IUOG Universidad Complutense de Madrid y Magister en Ciencia Politica y Licenciado en Historia, Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. Estudios en el Center for Hemispheric Studies, National Defense University (USA, 2007), Leadership Institute (USA, 2010) y pasantia en Atlas Network (USA, 2013). Obtuvo el premio Mario Gongora (1993) y el Templeton Freedom Awards (USA, 2012). Es miembro de la Mont Pelerin Society. Profesor Titular de la Universidad de los Andes (Chile). Martin Krause. Doctor en Administracion. Es Profesor Titular de Economia en las Facultades de Economia y de Derecho de la Universidad de Buenos Aires y profesor visitante de la Universidad Francisco Marroquin en Guatemala. Es Academico Adjunto del Cato Institute y miembro de la Mont Pelerin Society. Ha recibido varios premios y becas, entre las que destacan la Eisenhower Exchange Fellowships, en 1993, y el Freedom Project de la John Templeton Foundation, en 1999 y 2000. Hector Naupari. Jurista, poeta y ensayista. Se graduo en la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Peru. Tiene estudios concluidos en la Maestria en Derecho Civil del citado centro de estudios, y un Diploma en Estudios Superiores de Derecho de la Universidad de Salamanca, Espana. Es Presidente del Instituto de Estudios de la Accion Humana, IEAH, de Lima, Peru. Ha sido Presidente de la Red Liberal de America Latina, RELIAL. Obtuvo la mencion honrosa en el III y V Concurso de Ensayos Caminos de la Libertad de Mexico, en el 2008 y 2010 respectivamente. Carlos Sabino. Licenciado en Sociologia, Universidad de Buenos Aires y Doctor en Ciencias Sociales, Universidad Central de Venezuela. Profesor Titular de la Universidad Central de Venezuela y de la Universidad Francisco Marroquin de Guatemala. Es miembro de la Mont Pelerin Society. Actualmente es Coordinador de la Maestria y Doctorado en Historia de la UFM. Ha publicado mas de 20 libros.
