✔This is a book about You. By You.
And it's about time, isn't it?
The Book of Me is a journey to find the You that you've lost in all those years of taking care of everybody else. The You that knew what You liked and didn't like. The You that wanted to be a veterinarian princess ballet dancer and didn't think that was at all unreasonable.
The Book of Me is a vision board, daily planner, journal, motivator, goal tracker, comic relief, therapist, and a support group.
Why all that stuff? Because I created this book for myself and I needed all of that. (In fact, the cover includes images from my vision board.)
Then I realized that others needed it too...
Now, this is not one of those formal, overwhelming books that makes you feel like writing in it is a chore. Or makes you feel guilty if you skip a few days. (Sneaky note: That's why it's undated.)
The Book of Me is light-hearted and practically begs you to get out your colors and doodle in it.
It includes questions to make you think and get back to the real You. The You that liked to:
♥ Sing in the car, even when you didn't know the lyrics
♥ Buy an outfit without thinking whether it would be good for work
♥ Get a little star stuck on your collar for being outstanding
♥ Hide in a tent fort with a book and a flashlight
♥ Eat the best Halloween candy before kids show up at your door
♥ Played without wondering if anyone else thought your game was silly.
That's the You that deserves to come out and play again.
And that's what you can do with The Book of Me. It includes:
✔ A step-by-step guide to create your vision board. Yep, now you can use the Law of Attraction to keep you focused on the things that bring you joy.
✔ Goal planning pages. These will help you take those visions and turn them into action plans.
✔ Daily prompt questions. These get you to address those things you need to clear out of your head.
✔ Humorous quotes, memes, and sayings. Because we can't take ourselves too seriously.
✔ Places to record your great ideas. Remember that business you wanted to start? This is the place.
✔ Journal pages. For when you just want to vent, laugh, or celebrate.
✔ Monthly pages. Because we all need a glimpse of the big picture.
✔ Daily task lists. So we don't let all that stuff we're supposed to do slip through the cracks.
✔ Membership in a cool club. Well, it's more like a support group. It's the Facebook group for The Book of Me, where you can visit with lots of other people going through the same process. If you want to join us, you just use the secret code - post a selfie with your book and tag Christee Gabour Atwood. That's like the special knock on the door. We'll know what you want and invite you in.
Be on the lookout for videos and chats that help you build on the activities in The Book of Me. We'll even do live YouTube casts so you can join in the conversations.
Welcome to The Book of Me.
We'll see the real you in the pages.
