About the Book

Young actors just starting out in the film and TV industry will find the answers to all their questions in BOOK THE JOB! (FOR TEENS), by top acting coach Anthony Meindl. Learn how to find the right agent, navigate and nail the audition process, and how to act like a professional once you've booked the job and are on set. This practical, easy-to-reference guide is perfect for teens who want the confidence to take the next step in their acting career. If you have questions like...-How do I find and develop a character?-Do I even have talent?-How do I know how far I need to go before it becomes melodramatic?-How do I work with my agent during pilot season?-What do I do if I get nervous in front of a casting director?...this is the only acting book you'll ever need.
About the Author: Anthony Meindl is an award-winning writer/director/producer and artistic director of Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop (AMAW) with studios in Los Angeles, New York, London, Vancouver, and Sydney. His teaching staff also holds intensives in Atlanta, Tampa, Portland, Dallas, Melbourne, and Sofia, Bulgaria. AMAW was honored by Backstage Magazine four years in a row and named the Best Acting Studio in Los Angeles (Best Scene Study and Best Cold Read). Meindl is a guest teacher at David Lynch's Masters in Film Program, was a keynote speaker at the GATE Story Conference founded by Jim Carey and Eckhart Tolle, and a guest speaker at the Association of Transformational Leaders Conference alongside Neal Donald Walsch (Conversations with God) and Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup For The Soul). He's been interviewed for a number of famous podcasts including Dave Asprey's Bullet Proof Coffee and has lectured all over the world about the science of creativity and the right brain revolution movement he has helped start. As a theatre director, Meindl received unprecedented back-to-back LA Weekly Award Nominations for Best Direction of the English hit Dogs Barking and the comedy Swimming in the Shallows. The cast of those productions, all of whom trained under Meindl's renown acting program, received an LA Weekly Award nomination for Best Dramatic Ensemble and Best Comedic Ensemble, respectively. His first short film, Ready? OK! was sold to MTV's LOGO Network where it was featured as part of the "Best in Short Film Series" and won numerous awards on the International film festival circuit. His first feature film, Birds Of A Feather, can be seen on iTunes, VUDU, Playstation, and Xbox, and his second feature film, The Wonder Girls, is in pre-production. His Multi-Channel Network for his Studio is being launched in November of this year entitled AMAW TV. He has been teaching actors and helping all people in all walks of life get more creative for 20 years. For more information on Anthony and his studios worldwide, go to: www.anthonymeindl.com
