About the Book

(BOOK COMPLETELY EDITED BY A LiTERARY PROFESSIONAL)REVIEW BY Jarrel Ditmer Now, onto the positive aspects: the story itself is somewhat intriguing, particularly when certain characters are vicious toward a young boy named Dustin (the protagonist) for no apparent reason. I immediately become curious, especially when I consider the setting (a village), as these type of locations lend well to suspense, atmosphere and especially horror. Without giving away too much, I'll just say that this setting is used quite well.Early on into the story, a lady named Brigitte is captured by a demon, and this puts fear into the townspeople, and the blame is put onto Dustin's grandfather after he is observed using magic. This leads to further intrigue, as the grandfather must leave Dustin and the people behind, and will not answer Dustin's questions about himself, as the answers are for him alone to discover. Now, I feel like the early chapters are the best part of the book, as this is when the pacing is slow and I am able to take in some great imagery, and a stronger focus on the protagonist. Dustin is the village outcast, and all he wants is to see Brigitte again, which sounds dull, but I personally liked the feeling of despair and loneliness some scenes convey. It's almost eerie at times. The rest of the story is action-packed, and the creatures are many. Far from uncreative, the second half has this child-like imagination to it that I find very endearing. Also, the ending I feel is fairly uplifting, and I'll admit that I am curious as to what will happen if a sequel is published. Throughout the first half though, I could often picture scenes in my head, and they looked like the colored films of Akira Kurosawa: most beautiful when tranquil. This is a sign of success I think, and with better world establishment and dialogue/grammar, I think this could go on to be well respected saga.https: //www.goodreads.com/review/show/3139156511The Blue Eyed Wizard and The Island of Exiles, is the beginning of a series about a young boy who still doesn't know he has magical and angélic powers inside him. Dustin is his name. He lives in Ashban, a poor town on the seashore that was built by the survivors of the war for the possesión of the world.Mysteriously, Dustin is taken by a flying umbrella to the unknown Island of Exiles. It is a prison of evil spirits and terrifying demons. He goes there in search of his true love who was killed by The Lord of Fire some years ago. There, he discovers a new world with creatures he had never seen. Most of them, are caught in nature and statues.Standing In the middle of the island there is a huge castle surrounded by a large garden of flowers. Dustin is deceived by them and takes some inside to get the watering can of eternity. In the abandoned king's room. he finds a prophecy drawn on the wall with a strange mural of brilliant gold. It has seven values.Dustin reaches a watering can at the top of the castle and the water is poured over the entre island. setting demons and evil spirits free. That's the beginning of the fulfillment of the prophecy and the story of the Blue-Eyed Wizard in his search for the truth that will set us free.
