About the Book

"I must Create my own System - or be enslav'd in another Man's" wrote Wm Blake 200-years ago. BLANK is an unimaginative person enslaved in another man's system. Every child is conditioned by custom tradition ritual beliefs and every conceivable fear to fit into the herd whether raised in a tribe in Uganda or on the streets of New York City. Almost every choice of behavior we make can be traced to some fear of loss. Yet as the blind and deaf Helen Keller learned "there is no security ...[existence] is either a daring adventure or nothing." BLANK details how we lost our birth-derived imaginative powers and includes a realistic method of restoring them. The American school was to "manufacture them (children) like nails with government and industry providing the specifications" said Ellwood P. Cubberley in the 1934 edition of Public Education in the United States. That each child's natural imaginative curiosity moves it toward "self-determination" explains why such things as "compulsory (or forced) education" became necessary "to modify" it to fit into a corporate hierarchy. Parents! Become a guide that helps your children grow into self-reliant beings and stop deciding their fate. The arrow for population growth points straight up the arrow for job growth straight down. The natural world is in a state of daily crisis from the steady abuses of industrialization and population growth. These facts point to more social unrest turmoil terrorism and poverty. How does one extract some measure of satisfaction from one's existence in such a world? BLANK takes on the human condition 2014 and details how it got this way and what we can do about it. It argues that the history of warring hatreds political theologies run amuck the most blatant flaunting of ignorance the unimaginative existence is wrong existence. "Not I - nor any one else can travel that road for you - / You must travel it for yourself. / It is not far - it is within reach - / Perhaps you have been on it since you were born - and did not know - / Perhaps it is everywhere on water and on land" wrote Whitman. Each of us must develop our own personal economy. For some of you have already learned that when the corporation isn't hiring you're on your own and you don't know what to do. This is the historic fatal flaw in global social development that continues producing violent dependents whereas the natural imaginative mode moves one toward interdependence and self-reliance (Emerson). Every child learns to sit up crawl walk run and speak a complex language on its own. Every child is born loaded with enough capacity to make its own way if allowed to develop those capacities. Each of the billions of neurons in a child's brain is more complex than New York City. "I am multitudes!" wrote Whitman. "We've had a 100-years of psychotherapy and the world is getting worse" wrote psychiatrist James Hillman. Once one has restored one's imaginative curiosity enough so that ideas begin to form one begins making things useful to one's fellow as a livelihood. Amy Tan writes: "I decided to set out on my own - to find a way of viewing the world that was distinctly my own ...I question everything and yet I'm open to everything." The object is to exist imaginatively playing while growing into a self-reliant "adult" a species missing in the world. Grownups' do not play. All real play is imagined. All sports and gaming are part of the entertainment industry that has emerged to provide profitable amusements for the unimaginative the bored the lost. "Man Is Imagination" wrote Blake. "Imagination was given man to compensate him for what he is not ..." wrote Bacon. And finally Einstein proved that imagination was more important than knowledge. "For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand - while imagination embraces the entire world - and [holds] all there ever will be to know and understand." Become an Imaginator and save yourself from the ignominy of those that preceded
