Quando Black Mage revela sua segunda identidade a Frederico Reinardt, o arqueólogo descobre que Danzibar é o principal alvo dos mithus. Decidido a salvar a vida do seu filho, coloca seu vasto conhecimento arqueológico à disposição do misterioso mago, entregando-se de corpo e alma à sigilosa fraternidade que, anonimamente, luta contra os temíveis mithus. Black Mage, O Despertar, irá conduzi-lo a uma história cujo pano de fundo é a arqueologia, com tramas voltadas para a investigação policial, política, jornalismo, ambição, conspiração, mistérios e magias, narrada não a partir do personagem principal, mas apresentada, também, sob a perspectiva dos demais personagens que surgem nos caminhos de Danzibar e Black Mage, dando ao leitor uma visão completa dos fatos que vão se desenvolvendo pouco a pouco no decorrer da narrativa.

Professor da rede pública municipal há 21 anos, criei o hábito pela leitura durante o ensino médio. A partir de então, li Agatha Christie, Charles Dickens, Shakespeare, Conan Doyle, e tantos outros mestres da literatura universal e nacional. Assisti também várias versões cinematográficas dos grandes clássicos de Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell e das irmãs Bronte. Sou fã das séries detetivescas da BBC, como Midsomer Murders, Vera e Endeavour, além de Merlin, minha série preferida. Desde muito jovem me atraí por JRPG, sendo minhas franquias preferidas Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda e Tales Of. Em casa, quando não estou escrevendo, estou assistindo minhas séries preferidas ou em Eorzea, o mundo virtual do MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, de quem sou grande fã. Há muito tempo eu desejava escrever uma história sobre magia ambientada no tempo presente, fugindo dos clichês medievais. Pelo grande interesse que tenho pela chamada "Arqueologia Proibida", inspirei-me nesta corrente investigativa para criar o esboço de Black Mage, A Origem da Saga, cujo primeiro volume, O Despertar, inaugura uma série que, a princípio, está dividida em seis volumes, que serão lançados, um a um, anualmente.
