About the Book
The arrival of The Black Knight on a pale horse launches Genevieve and her companions into an apocalyptic series of adventures during the last days of Camelot, revealing long-held secrets of Merlin, Arthur, Lancelot, Logres and the Holy Grail along the way.
Chris Mechling's
Lancelot epic offers fresh perspective and insight into many of the characters and events of the Arthurian era, as experienced by the young Lady Genevieve; beginning when she was thirteen years old meeting the White Knight Lancelot du Lac and the noble young Prince Galahad in the midst of the Grail Quest, then continuing half a dozen years later in 536 AD, when the Black Knight and his squire, Bors the Younger, come to town looking for her and find that corrupt men have turned law and order and the lives of women in Genevieve's town upside down. Soon, the Black Knight and Genevieve encounter the dark and enigmatic Morgan Le Fay, who has foreseen a chain of events that will lead to the end of Camelot, and possibly the end of their world as well. Now, Genevieve must learn all that she can and rise to face the challenges before her in order to be able to help the Black Knight complete his mission before it's too late. Along the way, she will discover for herself what it means to be a knight like Lancelot, follow her heart, and gradually piece together the untold history of Logres and the Holy Grail.

Lancelot epic takes particular focus on the lives of Merlin, Arthur, Lancelot and some of the people who were closest to them, during the course of the fifth, sixth and seventh centuries A.D.
Genevieve's narrative begins in 530 AD, and then jumps forward to 536 AD. From that point forward, we follow the path of Genevieve, the Black Knight, and their companions as they venture deep into the heart of Britannia and Logres as war looms over the land.
Lancelot, Series One: Merlin will begin Genevieve's adventures and also explore the origins of Merlin, Arthur, Lancelot, Vivien Nimue, Morgan Le Fay, Guinevere, and other characters.
Lancelot, Series Two: Arthur will continue Genevieve's adventures and also delve deep into the high days of Camelot, and the events that led to Galahad's Grail Quest.
Lancelot, Series Three will conclude the epic, drawing together the threads of the story told in the previous books in a series of events culminating in the climactic Battle at Camlann and its aftermath.
