In 16 Geschichten schildert die Autorin ihre ganz persönlichen Erlebnisse und Empfindungen als Kind und junges Mädchen in der Kriegs- und Nachkriegszeit. An diesem Schicksal einer Zeitzeugin wird noch einmal die schwierige Zeit deutscher Geschichte von den 30er bis zu den 60er Jahren des 20.Jahrhunderts lebendig: die glückliche Kindheit in der heilen Welt einer bürgerlich-christlichen Familie, die Kriegszeit mit Ausbombung, Kinderlandverschickung, mit Flucht vor den Russen, den Vergewaltigungen und dem Schicksal des Vaters in der russischen Zivilinternierung; die Nachkriegszeit mit ihrer Not, aber auch der wieder gewonnenen Lebensfreude. Auch die verschiedenen Liebesgeschichten des jungen Mädchens spiegeln neben dem allgemein Gültigen viel von dem damaligen Zeitgeist wider. Schließlich schildert die Autorin ihre Flucht 1960 aus der DDR in die Bundesrepublik und ihre Schwierigkeiten bei der Eingewöhnung in den Westen, wie sie nach der Wende ähnlich von vielen Ostdeutschen erfahren wurden. Das Buch erschien 2004 bei "Mein Buch", Hamburg. Da der Verlag wegen Insolvenz seinen Betrieb eingestellt hat, ist jetzt (2007) von Books on Demand eine Neuauflage herausgegeben worden. About the Author: Annemarie Sondermann, geb. Boeters, wurde 1931 in Bublitz in Hinterpommern als viertes von fünf Kindern in einer evangelischen Pfarrersfamilie geboren. Ihr Vater, Heinrich-Ernst Boeters, wurde später Oberkonsistorialrat in Stettin und geistlicher Leiter der Evangelischen Kirche Ostpommerns. Nach Kinderjahren in Stettin, nach Ausbombung, Evakuierung in Belgard/Hinterpommern und Flucht kam sie Ende 1945 nach Schönebeck bei Magdeburg und von dort bis zum Abitur 1950 in die Internatsschule der Herrnhuter Brüdergemeinde in Gnadau. Sie studierte Germanistik in Greifswald und arbeitete dann als Lehrerin an einer Erweiterten Oberschule in der DDR, zunächst in Richtenberg, Kreis Stralsund, später in Wismar. Nach ihrer Flucht in die Bundesrepublik 1960 und einem Nachstudium war sie als Studienrätin in Hamburg, Nürnberg und Saarbrücken tätig. Annemarie Sondermann lebt heute in Königswinter bei Bonn. Sie ist verheiratet und hat zwei Söhne.
