About the Author: Naphtali Brezniak, born 1950 in Israel, is the son of Moshe Brezniak and Gutta (Tova) Rochman, both survivors of the Holocaust. Naphtali Brezniak is a physician - Tel-Aviv University, a dentist - The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Orthodontics - the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry in San-Francisco, and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Brezniak currently serves as the Head of the Orthodontic Residency in the Israel Defense Forces Orthodontic Department. He is involved in many studies and researches in Orthodontics, has published dozens of scientific articles and is a sought-after lecturer around the world. He is also an author of 2 books in Hebrew: 'The Birch Trees Stand Tall' (Yad Va'Shem 2004) and 'Abstracts' (Kineret Zmora Bitan Dvir 2008). Furthermore, Dr. Brezniak is an active member of a Holocaust survivors committee in Israel, whose goals are to commemorate those who did not survive the Holocaust by being involved in movie productions ('Little America'1999, and 'Prayer' 2009), a production of a play ('Mezritch' by Efraym Sidon and Itzhak Weingarten), and annual memorial ceremonies, publishing several books, managing a web site (www.Mezritch.org.il) and more. Dr. Brezniak was also involved in placing a memorial statue by the name 'Tfila', (Prayer, made by Yael Artzi), in the city center square of Miedzyrzec Podlaski (Mezritch), in Poland.
