About the Book

Billy Bully's Wake up Dream is a children's book for all (ages 6-106), that cultivates compassion, empathy and inner peace for our volatile world. Billy's journey was born out of a dream that woke me up. It comes to wake us all up. The children are our future and we are being called to support them to bring in a new reality for humanity. Billy Bully's story guides us to cultivate compassion and empathy for ourselves and others, knowing that love is our foundation. The book offers a vision that rises above the violence that surrounds us and guides us to another reality, where caring for ourselves and others is our top priority. It's time to nurture the best in all of us and dream peace into reality. Billy Bully illustrates the power of intention and offers access to everyone through a peace pillow available at www.dreamingforpeace.com "Teaching young people about compassion is one of the most important things we can do for humanity. Our future depends on it". The Dalai Lama
About the Author: Anael - Author Anael was born and raised in South Africa during the time of Apartheid. At age 17 she and her family immigrated to Israel. She became a kinder garden teacher, joined the military, married, had 4 children and lost her daughter Amy three hours after birth. This was a life changing moment which woke her up to the Pandora box of her own childhood trauma. Five years after Amy died, Anael started writing poetry which was her saving grace and big part of her healing journey and spiritual quest. One of the workshops she attended was on suffering. She had no idea that the workshop was taking place in 'enemy territory' in the West Bank. This was the first time she met with the suffering of the 'other'. After a few years of journeying inward Anael, opened her heart to her Arab neighbors and became a passionate and compassionate peacemaker. In 2003 Anael co-founded a non profit organization which brings Israeli and Palestinian teenage girls together. There she co facilitated the Compassionate dialogue amongst other things. She let go of her role, knowing that she is being called to do more - touch more children, younger children, worldwide. This book is a reflection of her own life and the lives of the children she has worked with. Anael is a published poet, a healer, a peacemaker and a group facilitator. Her first book - From Pieces to Peace can be found at Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Valerie Valentine - Illustrator As a social activist working through the arts, Valerie strives to support peaceful transformation within communities and nations. An artist, teacher, art therapist, and peacemaker, Valerie has created and taught many community art programs and served various institutions in leadership roles. She believes that self-exploration and self- expression through the creative process of artmaking creates a greater sense of balance and wellness for all individuals. Also that visual expression creates a common language that transcends words and differences, and offers a pathway toward tolerance, respect, and peace for any groups. Valerie also has experience and success working as a commercial and ine artist. In 1999 she won the first prize of $10,000.00 at the International Art Contest held in Anguilla, British West Indies. Valerie's love of art is evident through her paintings of exuberant color and texture. Her regard for the power of art-making is evident through her passionate healing work with others.
