Schulpolitik, Note: 1,0, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Institut für Sozialwissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Soziologische Theorie, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Darstellung von Theorien und Gründen für Bildungsungleichheit und von politischen Maßnahmen zur Reduzierung dieser nach zwei Soziologen: James Samuel Coleman und Pierre Bourdieu. Während Coleman die Quellen von Bildungsungleichheit insbesondere bei dem Grad an sozialen Bindungen erkennt, sind für Bourdieu die soziale Herkunft, inklusive des Vorhandenseins von kulturellem Kapital entscheidend. Anhand des Beispiels der Gemeinschaftsschulen soll außerdem die Frage geklärt werden, inwiefern diese mit den Theorien von Coleman und Bourdieu dazu beitragen könnten, den Zusammenhang von sozialer Herkunft und Bildungskompetenz zu entkoppeln. Das Thema der Chancengleichheit im Kontext von Bildung besitzt, wie schon zu Bourdieus Lebzeiten, nach wie vor eine hohe Relevanz. Das zeigen Veröffentlichungen zu den PISA-Studien 2012 und 2015, die alle 3 Jahre stattfinden. Hierbei wurde unter anderem der Zusammenhang zwischen sozialer Herkunft und dem Kompetenzerwerb in der Schule gemessen, welcher auch als sozialer Gradient bezeichnet wird. Der soziale Gradient hat in Deutschland seit Beginn der PISA-Studien im Jahre 2000 zwar abgenommen, befindet sich jedoch auch im Jahre 2015 über dem Durchschnitt der OECD-Staaten. Allmendinger et. al. stellen anhand des "Bildungstrichters", den sozialen Gradienten Deutschlands anschaulich dar. Demnach gehen von 100 Kindern aus Akademikerfamilien, 88 auf die gymnasiale Oberstufe und 83 letztendlich auf eine Hochschule, während es bei Kindern von Nicht-Akademikern gerade einmal 46 auf die gymnasiale Oberstufe und 23 Kinder auf eine Hochschule schaffen.
