About the Book

After the 'flashback' of volume two, this volume of my story picks up the time-line of my story from where volume one left off: Left battered and bleeding on my garden path after what can only be described as a poltergeist-like event I managed to drag myself back into my house and onto my sofa. The DVD which had been playing when the latest bout of 'weirdness' had begun had finished and with my TV's remote control far out of reach and my body in too much pain for me to consider an attempt to retrieve it I resigned myself to a boring night in front of a TV screen full of snowy interference - How wrong I was! What followed gave a whole new meaning to the term 'interactive TV' and the tantalizingly cryptic messages which ended my strange night's viewing filled me with new hope and optimism - Could 'they' really be offering what they seemed to be?
About the Author: I was born and raised in a housing scheme in the Glasgow's East End, the youngest of four children in a working class Catholic family. After schooling I became a quantity surveyor, and after around 10 years working in Glasgow I joined John Brown Engineering of Clydebank, a company best known for building famous liners such as The Queen Mary and The QE2 but who had since moved into the power station business. I worked on projects in the UK and Malaysia with them before joining the German engineering company Siemens with whom I worked on projects in New Zealand, U.A.E and Vietnam however in the wake of a fatal accident on the project in Vietnam in 2003, myself and one of my close friends decided that we would leave the construction industry and open a bar together in Vietnam. In January 2004 we set about investigating the process and looking for suitable premises however after spending most of the first month lazing around a swimming pool I decided that I would use some of the spare time I had seeing if I could write a book. Having worked throughout the world, and with the experiences of the Vietnam project fresh in my mind, I felt that I had at least a basic skeleton for a story but the one thing that was missing was a 'big ending'...That is basically when the events described in my 'Rapt In An Enigma' series of books began. Although born into a Catholic family and being educated in Catholic schools, as long as I can remember I have been what I would consider a devout agnostic, sceptical not only of religion but of anything 'paranormal'. The events described in my books have certainly changed me in many respects - I remain as 'unreligious' as I ever was however I feel I can no longer describe myself as an agnostic. Within my books I describe a number of occasions where I have been able to accurately 'predict' future events ranging from scientific discoveries relating to the mechanics of black holes to natural disasters such as tsunamis and hurricanes to man-made disasters such as BP's Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico which led to the biggest oil spillage in history however I would stress that I make no claim to be psychic or to have ANY kind of psychic abilities. I am, as I have always been just an ordinary working class guy from Glasgow who just happened to dragged into one of the most amazing and incredible stories ever told.
