About the Book

Danger and romance were definitely not on the handsome Sr. Director's itinerary for his business trip to Australia. Billy Ridley worked too hard and traveled too much to have more than an occasional girlfriend back at Lancing Biotech in New Jersey. He was feeling uncomfortable about the meetings at the Paradigm Foundation in Sydney. They were responsible for over half the investment in research at his company, but were also supporting Lancing Biotech's ruthless competitor in the high flying hormone replacement field. Billy knew he somehow had to bring up the rumors of fraud, illegal chemicals and misappropriation of funds, but Mac, the Managing Director of Paradigm, was a good friend. Their meeting in King's Cross, the nightlife center of Sydney, was made even more uncomfortable when a beautiful, but frightened woman called out his name and a warning, then collapsed in his arms just outside the Jabiru Club. How did she know him? And what had happened to her? Something she mentioned about Cantor Pharmaceuticals, their HRT challenger, sent him into protective mode. There had already been a lab explosion, threats to his colleagues and too many deaths at Lancing Bio. It became Billy's job and pleasure to protect the gorgeous but vulnerable Haley, an innocent victim of the treachery in his business world. Hiding her back in America in his plush bay side New York town home only brought the dangers closer to both of them as the FBI began to follow a trail of deceit and destruction.
About the Author: ABOUT THE AUTHOR Jo Anne Cracknell is a dual Australian/American citizen living in Queensland, Australia. She has a daughter in the film industry and son-in-law in IT in Sydney, and another daughter, a commercial pilot in America, whose husband is also in the aviation industry. They have two adorable young sons. After careers in television, education, executive recruiting in the bio-pharmaceutical industry, and writing the feasibility study for and the history of Australia's first private university, she began writing fiction. Creating suspense based on her real life career experiences and adding a love interest became her focus in recent years with the publication of: "Love and a Hell of a War" about Vietnam and based on a true enduring love story. The Corporate Danger series about the bio-pharmaceutical and fundraising industries began in 2015 with "Dangerous Recruit" based on a love story and a murder that actually took place in the competitive biotech industry. "Betrayal," is the second in this series and follows Billy Ridley, one of the charismatic American male characters to Australia where he saves a beautiful Australian from personal danger. Billy helps to uncover major fraud in the biotech and fundraising industries in both America and Australia while falling for the woman he is assigned to protect. You can find Jo Anne's most recent books and order them by direct link on her website: https: //jlcracknell.wordpress.com or through Amazon.com. The Corporate Danger series is available on e readers and in paperback.
