About the Book

Act 1
Aylia thought her life was to begin with the man she loved, but he came with a whole different plan. Instead of going off to wed, he sent her to her aunt in the city where she could be a dressmaker. As if that betrayal wasn't enough, Aylia ends up using her wedding dress for the princess who, when she arrives at the wedding, is marrying the man of her dreams. Can she survive the pain and remain, or will she follow her heart and run? Her Aunt Naima took her in and gave her a job, so leaving isn't allowed, but she didn't know how her heart could withstand seeing him marry another. Can Aylia make it through the ordeal and will she ever be reunited with her only love?
Act 2
Luna had grown up in the castle as the firstborn princess, but her parents had always treated her like a built-in servant instead of their child. The king tolerated her but rarely even gave notice she was present. So it was a shock when he wanted her to squash a band who had defeated the knights, sending them home beat and bruised. When her sister asked to go as well, the king let's slip that he would never allow his daughter to go to something so dangerous. Luna is at last faced with the truth, but will it bring her peace or ultimately end up her demise? Who can she trust and who will again betray her? Can she get her long-time friend Rudy knighted, so they can wed, or is that doomed to fail as well?
Act 3
Luna once again was caring for another sibling as her mother didn't mind having the child, she didn't wish to raise them. Luna catches Elena attempting to steal her youngest brother to take off with a dragon. Can Luna save her family and fight a dragon? Will the elves remember what they owe her and help? What happens when her Grandpere is dying, and she is asked to take his throne? Can Luna survive the ultimate betrayal by her family or is she doomed to forever be a servant to those who are younger than her but treated as royalty?
