About the Book

"How long, now? How long have I been locked in here? One hour, maybe two? One pace, two paces, three . . . I stop at three, drowning in the exact middle of the dark space of the cell in Bakewell Gaol. They can't leave me here! Look, this is just a mistake, you don't understand, we were only . . . "Ben has been arrested for his part in a scheme hatched by Wen to re-site an ancient stone in its original position. If only he had not gone back for the gun...Don and Wen are nowhere to be found and the judge seems to want an example to be made... and Ben is all he has....
About the Author: Steve is a well-known figure in the esoteric world and has been a keynote presenter at many conferences and workshops. He describes himself as having had "a rewarding and spiritually eclectic life . . ." Born into a Rosicrucian family in Bolton, Lancashire, in 1954, Steve grew up surrounded by mystical discussion and fascinating but often peculiar grown-ups. In adult life, and alongside a career in IT, he was an active Rosicrucian Officer for AMORC in the North of England. Steve retired from AMORC in 2005 with fond memories of some wonderful times shared, including a final initiation in the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid of Gizeh - something he says he's not got over, yet . . . Shortly after, he met Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki, Director of Studies of the Servants of the Light School, and her husband Michael, then in charge of all the back-office systems for SOL. It was a prophetic meeting as Steve was, shortly thereafter, to create SOL's computerised administration systems for Dolores and Michael, set up a SOL Lodge in Manchester, and become a founding member of the ARC Administration team to establish SOL's online presence and offer the lessons to a world-wide audience via the internet and electronic payment systems. Part of this undertaking was to be invited into SOL's House of the Amethyst. Steve is the Founding Director of the Silent Eye, (www.thesilenteye.co.uk) a modern Mystery School, along with Sue Vincent and Stuart France. The Silent Eye now operates its own press. In 2013, he published his first book, "The Song of the Troubadour" based on the teachings and ritual dramas of the Silent Eye's 2013 Workshop in Derbyshire. In July 2014 he published his second work, "The Land of the Exiles" - a combination of esoteric psychology and drama that formed the backbone of the 2014 Silent Eye workshop in the Derbyshire Hills. Both books are available on Amazon and Kindle. Steve believes in light-heartedness and humour as much as spirituality - seeing the two as intrinsically linked. He publishes a (usually!) daily blog at http: //lakesteve.blogspot.co.uk/ where confusion, humour and occasional teaching may be found
