About the Book

THE BENJAMITE: THE TIE THAT BINDS is a modern tale of an ancient Israelite legend. Selah was the daughter of a Levite scribe and a Tabernacle musician. An act of foolishness on her part at a young age had left her carrying burdens and a curse of her very own. "Pity the fool that binds himself to such a woman," the people of Israel had spoken of her. Leaving her an outcast by all, but a few. Benjamin was one of the few men left on the rock of Rimmon after civil war had erupted killing all the population of the tribe of Benjamin with the exception of 600 men. As rage towards the brotherhood ebbs into worry-what shall be done about the tribe of Benjamin? A plot has been hatched and put into place by a Priest regarding the upcoming festival in Shiloh where there was to be no turning back... "You fool!" Selah cried out, her breath catching and hanging on a sob as the full brunt of her statement passed across her tongue. Flashbacks of yesteryear caught hold in her memory as the hurtful words of the people of Israel's curse hung upon her, 'Pity the fool that binds himself to such a woman.' "You fool!" She re-iterated in sobs that now erupted while she was gathering the scarlet thread to herself hand over hand, "He will come for me!" Benjamin's eyes bored thru her. How had he allowed his love for her to catch and bind him to her in an instant? It was true! He was a fool! Though he was thoroughly shaken within, he managed an edge of rough anger to his voice, "If you say you were betrothed..." "Am betrothed! I am betrothed and he will come for me!" "Then he had better come for you quickly," Benjamin ground out between clenched teeth, "For all Israel knows that the Levites are Abba God's inheritance. And I dare say, Abba had given me a mite share of that inheritance in giving me you!" Oh, Selah! You just had to go and open your mouth! IT IS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK... To the Reader, This is my effort to paint human character back into long forgotten truths. Truths that remain a reality though history has smudged them into little known legends. The truth remains God has found One perfect person. Now He searches for those in need just searching for a Savior...
About the Author: jerushah8833 It is my overwhelming desire to make people understand that those we consider to be saints were and are mere mortals given to human frailties. In doing so, I hope you come to see that God is, indeed, approachable. May I open your eyes to the fact that, God not only longs to be loved by you, but to give you HIS LOVE in return.
