Belle Sparta is a graphic story with a comic book influence about a female assassin whose clan is at war with another clan in a battle for superiority. The characters depicted are brutal and unforgiving in their quest for dominance. I wrote this where women are the main drivers in the story. This is my way of paying tribute to all the strong women who pushed me especially mom to be a better man. The story has many twists and turns introducing some interesting views of life, death and the ultimate will to survive. The martial arts used and the influence of inner energy or life force are influenced by actual martial arts experiences which make for spectacular encounters, heightening the imagination and enhancing the visual effects of the mind through my descriptive writing of epic battles between these Gods of Assassination. There also many life lessons to be learned from this tale. I hope you enjoy reading this as I enjoyed creating Belle Sparta.

ABOUT DANIEL JOLLY
Born in Washington D.C., the eldest of three boys, my mother Beverly Peaks a single parent instilled in me a relentless work ethic coupled with a extreme sense of responsibility. Growing up in the rough area of southeast those vital characteristics proved to be beneficial where survival of the fittest was always the rule. All through school I was recognized as academically gifted as well as being a tremendous athlete this lead to many altercations. I became fascinated with martial arts and soon met Kenneth Mathis who introduced me to now Grand Master Albert Cheeks. My life changed drastically, Master Cheeks became like a father to me teaching that there is more to life than the hood and respect all races, cultures and things in the world Another individual Madam Cunningham also became a tremendous influence introducing me to the arts, such as dance, plays and literature. She also fueled my imagination for writing while another fascination took hold, Marvel Comics which I read for hours to escape the harsh realities of ghetto life. As a senior in high school I was recognized by the Harvard Book Club for academics and my poetry writing. I graduated fourth in my class but to everyone's surprise left for the military. I had to see what was out there and the military was my vessel to do it.
Numerous life changing events happened through the realities of war and the meaning of self sacrifice which fueled my desire to enhance my martial art training and to be a viable military member. In 1981 I enrolled in Kuk Sool Won where my thirst for knowledge and traditional values were quenched.
In 1995 I started teaching Kuk Sool Won at Ramstein Air Base under the guidance of Master In Joo Suh who instilled in me team work, loyalty and the importance of following organizational structure. From 1995 to present I have had the honor to teach Kuk Sool Won to well over 2000 military members in Germany, Japan, Italy, California, Texas, Iraq and Afghanistan. Today I own and operate a successful martial art school along with my tremendous wife Gina, where I am recognized not just for combative applications but stressing the importance of mentorship ensuring people realize their self worth and the importance of being not just citizens of the United States but to have an understanding of cultures throughout the world for the betterment of humanity. It is my sincere hope through my writing not only to entertain, but to educate and help people realize dreams do come true if you persevere and believe.
I also want to give a special heart felt appreciation Michael THUNDER PEN MEDINA and Jon THE SMOOTH BRUSH WISE, without these two outstanding artist and the support of Master Barry Harmon, Master Alex Suh and their awesome families, my many students and Kuk Sool Won Family around the world this DREAM WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE!!!!!!
