About the Book

In this latest collection of Short and Sweet Love Stories, Dawn Van Beck gives you a glimpse of three more families whose lives are forever changed by the people they love and hold most dear - whether it's their spouse, parents, children, dear friends, or significant other.

THE BELL TOLLS -
Rachel's elderly grandma "Mor Mor" continually hears some type of bell. Though it seems to bring her tremendous joy, she is the only one so far who has been able to hear it. One day, while reminiscing on the tender love that had been shared over the years between her Mor Mor and grandfather, Rachel hears a faint noise from the attic. Could it be the bell? And if it is, what does that mean for Rachel and her family?

DISTANT LIGHT -
Best friends since kindergarten, Jasmine and Marcus had always been each other's beacon, sharing a deep, mutual love for each other, which only more recently had hinted of a possible romance. When Marcus leaves the country for a trip of a lifetime, Jasmine is resolved that she made the right decision not to accompany him as her mother is gravely ill. With no way to communicate with Marcus, Jasmine is left on her own to navigate the path of difficult decisions and ultimate grief.

ENTRAPPED -
Becoming trapped in an elevator with someone is a terrible thing ... until it's not. For Abby and Drake, an unforeseen, chance meeting might just change their lives forever.

PRAISE FOR DAWN VAN BECK:

"I always look forward to the next collection of short and sweet love stories by Dawn Van Beck. Such a master storyteller, Dawn makes you feel every bit of the magic in the tales she weaves. Her short stories are a wonderful reminder that life really is about the love stories we create along the way." --- D. D. Scott, International Bestselling Author

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Dawn Van Beck is a writer, singer, child of God, and chocolate chip cookie connoisseur. Her love of all things writing began at an early age, pretending to be a librarian leading "story time" with her imaginary patrons. Over the years she's contributed to various publications including newsletters, magazines and theater pieces. Now, after years of dreaming, she's finally publishing the dozens of short stories she's written as well as children's picture books and is working on wrapping up a novella and a Christian Romance novel. She makes her home in sunny Florida. Close to her heart are bear hugs from her crazy husband, time spent with her adult children and first grandchild, and the companionship of Lilly, their feisty Dachshund. Come, sit for a spell . . . she'll put the coffee on.
