Doch was ist Employer Branding und warum ist mit einer ganzheitlichen Employer Branding Strategie ein nicht zu unterschätzender Wettbewerbsvorteil zu generieren? Welche Wirkungsfelder sind bei der Gestaltung einer Arbeitgebermarke zu berücksichtigen, und welchen Beitrag vor allem ein ganzheitliches Gesundheitsmanagement (Health Management) dazu leisten kann, wird Fokus dieser Arbeit sein. Im dritten Kapitel erfolgt die Erklärung der wesentlichen Aufgaben des Employer Branding im modernen Personalmanagement. Neben der Definition wichtiger Grundbegriffe und der Darstellung wesentlicher Ziele, die mit der Gestaltung einer Arbeitgebermarke erreicht werden sollen, erfolgt ebenso die Abgrenzung zum Personalmarketing und die Darstellung der fünf Wirkungsfelder erfolgreichen Employer Brandings. Das vierte Kapitel beschäftigt sich hingegen mit der Bearbeitung der These, dass ein ganzheitliches Gesundheitsmanagement einen wesentlichen Beitrag zum erfolgreichen Employer Branding leistet. Dies erscheint insofern als erforschenswert, als das Thema Gesundheit in der Wahrnehmung von Politik, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft verstärkt als grundlegende Ressource in Unternehmen erachtet wird und daher von einem reinen Kostenfaktor zu einem nachhaltigen Wachstumstreiber avanciert. Die damit verbundenen Anforderungen an ein Gesundheitsmanagement sowie die Analyse der Nutzen aus Sicht von Arbeitgebern und Arbeitnehmern sollen den Bedeutungszuwachs in Unternehmen verdeutlichen.
