Wir sind amüsiert, wenn sich gewisse Begebenheiten ereignen, wir sind angesteckt vom Lachen unserer Mitmenschen, wir hinterfragen, ob ein Lachen in bestimmten Momenten und über gewisse Dinge wie Personen angebracht oder nicht angebracht erscheinen mag. Dies geschieht jedoch zumeist in einer gewissen Form von Leichtigkeit, wenn nicht sogar Leichtfertigkeit. Die Tatsache, dass wir lachen und, damit einher gehend, die Motivationen dafür sowie die Auswirkungen unserer Wahrnehmung des Komischen erscheinen uns als eine Normalität unserer menschlichen Existenz. Während beispielsweise das Tier vermeintlich nicht lacht, ist der Mensch dazu imstande, Komik sowohl zu erleben als auch aktiv zu gestalten. Ungeachtet dieser scheinbaren Selbstverständlichkeit der Entstehung von Komik und ihrer Auswirkungen auf die soziale wie kulturelle Gemeinschaft gilt der Begriff des Komischen seit Beginn der Philosophie als wichtiger Gegenstand philosophischer Betrachtungen und Untersuchungen. Seit der Antike wurde die Frage nach dem Komischen und dessen Genese ebenso erörtert wie dessen Auswirkungen auf die Felder der Kunst, der Literatur, der Musik, des Theaters und der Gesellschaft. Dabei wurde das Lachen sowohl als Form der Selbsterhöhung als auch als gesellschaftskonstituierende Kraft beschrieben. Insbesondere hinsichtlich Letzteren gilt Henri BERGSON als einer der einflussreichsten Philosophen, widmete er sich doch innerhalb seines Essays "Das Lachen" dem Aspekt der Bühnenkomik in nicht unwes
