About the Author: C. L. Stallworth began preaching at the young age of sixteen and has served church congregations across Alabama, Tennessee, Iowa, and Connecticut. A graduate of the United Theological Seminary, Vanderbilt University, and Selma University, Stallworth is currently senior pastor, East End Baptist Tabernacle Church, professor at Hartford Seminary, having previously taught at Selma University and Des Moines Community College.
Now in his third term as a state representative for the Connecticut State Legislature, 126th District, he has long pursued the intentional, unifying impact of blending faith and community by serving as president and vice president of various Iowa and Connecticut congresses and conventions on Christian education.
Selected three times as one of Connecticut's "100 Most Influential African Americans," Stallworth is the proud father of four wonderful children and currently serves as the pastor of the East End Baptist Tabernacle Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
