About the Book

There's no such thing as depressed or anxiety-ridden faith.

Depressed Christianity, anxiety-ridden Christianity, angry and insulting Christianity, moody and irritable Christianity, sexually immoral and perverse Christianity, and hateful Christianity are all civil religion and religious life lies. God warned long ago about 'trusting in lies' taught by false prophets and false shepherds; which Christ warned that they'd be plentiful and abundant - hence the need to rely on His Word. And He also had a lot to say against 'false prophets of hope.'

I've long said that a lot of religious leaders are nothing more than 'glorified motivational speakers.' They're neither teaching nor living the Gospel of Christ. They themselves live by 'moral disclaimers' and 'lies on God's forgiveness.' They're making promises on behalf of God that aren't remotely Scriptural, taking Scriptures out of context and preaching entire [emotional and passionate] messages on 'partial truths' - and a partial truth is nothing but a lie.

Satan tried to deceive Christ when He was weakest and most vulnerable with 'partial truth of the Scripture, ' along with 'feigned compassion and concern' for His hardships and difficulties. This book is about the need for every professed 'believer' to take great care to manage your own expectations, having done the individual 'inner work' to count the personal 'cost of discipleship' by knowing that claiming to be a Christian means that you've signed up for sharing in His sufferings, and for being baptized into His spiritual death.

Inner darkness is promised. Which is why Christ repeatedly urged believers to 'endure suffering to the end.' The inner life goal of professed Christianity is to conquer and overcome. This book focuses exclusively on all the teachings of Christ given to help believers to go through everything in His promised peace and everlasting joy.

The power of inner peace and the authority of prayer come through well-managed expectations. These writings aren't for those who only want to hear what they want to hear, or for those who are convinced that the whole point and purpose of professed Christianity is to 'make them feel good' about themselves.

These writings are for those that are ready to teach themselves how to go through difficulties, setbacks, and hardships without even remotely being at risk of depression or of being stressed and full of anxiety. Before there are the promised rewards and benefits of faith, there's real faith that's successfully produced real inner life results.

About the Author: Imani is a spiritual director and faith coach. Her specialty is 'care of the soul' and equipping people of faith and conscience with the tools, disciplines and techniques to maneuver through spiritual darkness into: 1) inner peace, 2) spiritual authority, and 3) faith that produces results. She writes and teaches about the disciplined use of CONTEMPLATIVE PRACTICES in 'care of the soul.' She holds a B.B.A. in Finance, a law degree [J.D.], and a seminary degree [M.Div.] all from Howard University in Washington, D.C. ImaniDhakiya.com
