Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2018 im Fachbereich Politik - Allgemeines und Theorien zur Internationalen Politik, Note: 1,7, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Mittelpunkt dieser Arbeit steht die Forschungsfrage, ob das bedingungslose Grundeinkommen mit John Rawls Theorie der Gerechtigkeit kompatibel ist. Angesichts der wachsenden Produktivität fortgeschrittener Volkswirtschaften, der zunehmend ungleichen Einkommensverteilung, der mit der Automatisierung einhergehenden Abnahme klassischer Erwerbsarbeit sowie der Zunahme "atypischer" Beschäftigungsverhältnisse im Laufe des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts, wird das bedingungslose Grundeinkommen (BGE) zunehmend als sozialpolitische Alternative bemüht. Neben einigen Pilotprojekten wie beispielsweise in Kanada und Finnland, wurde 2016 in der Schweiz das erste Referendum weltweit über die Einführung eines BGE abgehalten. Die Idee des BGE erlebt dabei aber nicht nur im gesellschaftlichen und politischen Diskurs neuen Aufschwung, auch in der akademischen Debatte erlangt das Thema immer mehr Aufmerksamkeit. Seit 2006 widmet sich beispielsweise ein ganzes Journal, das "Basic Income Studies", ausschließlich dem Thema Grundeinkommen. Die Idee, jedem Menschen eine permanente periodische Transferzahlung ohne Bedürftigkeitsprüfung oder Anknüpfung an eine Arbeitsbereitschaft zukommen zu lassen, wird dabei aber auch in vielerlei Hinsicht kritisiert. Neben ökonomischen Bedenken hinsichtlich der Finanzierbarkeit und der Auswirkung auf die öffentlichen Haushalte, sowie des Arbeitsmarktes werden vor allem aus gerechtigkeitstheoretischer Sicht Einwände gegen ein BGE erhoben. Die Kernkritik an einem BGE richtet sich konkret - um es mit den Worten des norwegisch-US-amerikanischen Philosophen Jon Elster auszudrücken - gegen "[...] a widely accepted notion of justice: it is unfair for able-bodied people to live off the labor of others". Hinter diesem Einwand stehen zwei zutiefst liberale Konzeptionen von Gerechtigkei
