About the Book

So, after 25 years doing artist relations amongst other things for some of the greatest manufacturers in the music industry, I find myself with an amazing group of friends. I mean they are the greatest, seriously. Which brings me to Christian Waiau and Chuck Bailey Jr, music made the connection but that's just where it began. Over the past couple years, it's evolved into nightly messaging sessions about what we are cooking for our families for dinner that goes on for hours. I honestly can't express how fun it is. So, food, some of us love it but all of us need it. Everyone loves going to their favorite eating establishment to get that meal that makes all things right in the world for the time it takes to eat it. But what do you do when 2020 throws you a curve ball and shuts down every establishment of choice? We step up our cooking game!!! The music industry was hit exceptionally hard in 2020, first to close and probably not to reopen till late 2021 if we're lucky. Well that freed up all our schedules and we all still needed to eat so here we are. So Christian, Chuck and I decided to started reaching out to our bassist friends, luthiers, industry professionals (and some not so professional at times) and the such to start sharing recipes and decided to put them together and share them with the world. Some are quick and easy and some are put together by professionally trained culinary artists that just so happened to be bass players as well but, they all have one common ingredient, and that's love. We are thrilled to be able to share recipes from all around the globe from our friends and open your eyes to some variety for your tastebuds and your earbuds. We hope you have as much fun with these recipes as we did putting this together and possibly open your hearts to maybe some new music at the same time. The list of bass playing contributors is amazing; Tony Levin, Bubby Lewis, Julie Slick, Rob Van der loo, Victor Brandt, Ashley Reeve, Jeff Hughell and more.So, grab your apron, mixing bowls, measuring cups, put on your favorite musical selections, pick a recipe and get cooking!This book is also an act of love for us. Dementia and Alzheimer's disease has touched several of us and changed our lives and how we look at the world forever. All profit from this book will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association in hopes that they can assist some families with much needed resources and more research on the disease.
