Basic Electrical And Electronic Engineering is a comprehensive study of the principles and theories of Electrical and Electronic engineering. Published in 2012, by the Oxford University Press, Basic Electrical And Electronic Engineering can be used by students of all disciplines in the first year of Engineering. It is also a very important and useful book for the Diploma students of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The book is used as course material and as a reference book for Engineering courses. The book covers a vast number of topics. The book has 20 chapters: Introduction to Electrical Engineering, Magnetic Circuits, Power Systems, Synchronous Machines, Measuring Instruments, Three-phase Systems, Induction Motors, Direct Current Machines, Network Analysis and Network Theorems, Alternating Quantities, Semiconductor Theory and Diode Principles, Basics of Bipolar Junction Transistors, Transformer Principles, Basics of Field Effect Transistors,Oscillators, Operational Amplifiers, Transducers, Telecommunication Systems and Information Technology, Fundamentals of Digital systems, and Fundamentals of Control Systems. The book is divided into 2 parts. The first part deals with Electrical Engineering, and the second part provides a detailed study of Electronics Engineering. Apart from this, there are separate chapters where the authors deal with Principles of Transducers, Digital Systems, Telecommunication, Information Technology, and Control Systems. The book helps the new students of engineering understand the basic principles and theories. All these theories and principles are explained in great detail, making it easy for the students to understand. The authors have also included solved problems, practice problems and objective questions. A lot of numerical problems have also been included, with answers. Sukhija and Nagsarkar have also included numerical problems at the end of each chapter. This makes understanding and revising each topic covered in the chapter, easy.
