Back in the Game takes a look back at our country's two major political parties and President Obama's performance when compared to other Presidents throughout history. The author addresses the issues in both parties including underlying race issues that have dogged this country forever. This book shows that race is a very complex issue on all levels and like a sore it can fester and explode as we are seeing in the news today on a daily basis. The book indicates that Barack Obama had the best intentions when he was elected to the Office of President but, he quickly learned that things don't always go as planned. But isn't that real life. While he has certainly made some blunders, he has also been a target of the Republican Party and others in the Democratic Party who moans and groans about everything he tries to do. The fact is... you can never please everyone. You can only do the best job you can for all people. The author says that she hopes that when you read this book, you will come away doing what she hope all Americans do in this election and that is to get out and champion your candidate and do everything to support the person who ultimately, gets elected as the President of the United States.
About the Author: Beverly Montgomery is a "go getter." She doesn't believe in sitting on your butt and complaining about things that are out of your control. She believes in trying different things and creating your own opportunities. Beverly says, sometimes, you have to toot your own horn and if necessary, get others to toot your horn as well. She says, "The worst thing you can do is to allow someone to make you feel inferior or inadequate." Beverly makes it a point to step outside of her comfort zone and do things that she wouldn't have otherwise done. Along these lines, Beverly has authored over twelve books including historical, management, self-help, fiction, poetry, children and romance books. She is self-taught in app development; possesses a MBA in Business Administration, BA in Management and Law; has received training and certification in Asbestos Management and she has over 35 years management and consulting experience. Throughout her career, Beverly has continued to challenge herself including assuming responsibility for two separate and distinct business units. One unit was responsible for the sales, lease and acquisition of corporate real estate including the divestiture of power plants and the other involved engineering records management, contract management, mail service management, central telephone services, warehouse operations, reprographics, conference and sales management and administrative support. Though she doesn't advocate this for everyone, Beverly indicates that this was an exhilarating challenge and she enjoyed the challenge immensely. Beverly also enjoys travelling and has made several trips to Europe and South America. Though she has enjoyed seeing and interacting with people in other parts of the world, her immediate focus is seeing more of the United States. She has already made three car trips throughout the South and plans to take more of these types of trips in the future.
