He is a brilliant educationist with a prolific academic profile. He studied Animal science at the Ram Manohar Lohiya Awadh University and obtained his PhD at the Vinayak University. He is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Lucknow where he taught for 16 years in the Departments of Zoology and Animal Science as well as the Conservation Biology Program, the Institute for Social, Economic, and Ecological Sustainability, the Center for Environmental Learning and Leadership, and the McArthur Program in Global Change. At various times, he was a visiting scholar in Sweden, Indonesia, and China, as well as several universities and research institutions in the United States. His research interests varied from isolation and characterization of Animal Science, the effects of air pollution on animals, and land use planning and environmental policy. He has published various scientific articles or in different magazines and scientific journals. He has also published books on Animal Science, Animal Pathology, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Dairy Farming, Live Stock Farming.
