About the Author: Die Herausgeber Anton Hugli, geb. 1939, studierte Philosophie, Psychologie, Germanistik/ Nordistik und Mathematik in Basel und Kopenhagen. Er war von 1981 bis 2001 Direktor des Padagogischen Instituts Basel-Stadt und ab 1981 Privatdozent, dann ausserordentlicher Professor und von 2001 bis 2005 vollamtlicher Professor fur Philosophie und Padagogik an der Universitat Basel. Curzio Chiesa, geb. 1953, studierte Philosophie in Genf, Paris und Cambridge. Er ist seit 1978 Maitre d'enseignement et de recherche fur antike und mittelalterliche Philosophie an der Universitat Genf
