Handschriftliches Schreiben besitzt auch in der heutigen Gesellschaft einen hohen Stellenwert. Umso mehr muss man bei Berichten aufhorchen, die von Schwierigkeiten beim Erwerb dieser Kulturtechnik berichten. Die Gründe für diese Schwierigkeiten sind sehr vielfältig. Bereits geringe Entwicklungsstörungen der Motorik, der Perzeption oder des komplexen Integrationsprozesses können zu Komplikationen im Schriftspracherwerb führen. Wie kann man diesen Prozess unterstützen? Seit ein paar Jahren wird in Deutschland in wachsendem Maße der Bereich «Tanz in der Schule» diskutiert. In dieser Studie wurde untersucht, inwiefern kreativer Kindertanz die SchülerInnen im Sinne einer ressourcenorientierten Förderung beim Erwerb der Graphomotorik unterstützen kann. Die quasiexperimentelle Feldstudie im Pre-Posttestdesign mit Kontrollgruppe fand über dreieinhalb Monate an zwei Grundschulen statt. Als Überprüfungsmaterialien dienten ein allgemeiner Motoriktest (Zimmer, 2005), zwei Tests zur Graphomotorik (Rudolf, 1986; Mai/Marquardt, 2004/06) sowie ein selbst entwickelter Fragebogen zur Erfassung der Tanzmotivation. Die Auswertung ergab hinsichtlich qualitativer Schriftaspekte für die Tanzgruppe eine signifikante Mehrverbesserung. Die computergestützte Analyse ergab eine positive Tendenz für die Korrektheit der Formenwiedergabe.
