Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Führung und Personal - Recruiting, Note: 1,3, Universität Siegen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Aufgrund steigender Lebenserwartungen und rückläufiger Geburtenraten ergibt sich im Zuge des demographischen Wandels in Deutschland eine Verschiebung der Altersstrukturen, die zur Schrumpfung und Überalterung der Gesellschaft führen und Unternehmen daher vor neue Herausforderungen stellen wird. Diese bestehen im Speziellen darin, "sich auf den Wandel im Bevölkerungsaufbau einzustellen und zugleich die globalen, strukturellen und wirtschaftlichen Trends zu berücksichtigen und für sich zu nutzen." Die Verknappung junger, qualifizierter Arbeitskräfte führt zu einem Fachkräftemangel, der Unternehmen dazu zwingt, ihre Rekrutierungsmaßnahmen noch stärker auf die Anforderungen der demographischen Entwicklung auszurichten. Hierbei rücken Frauen und ältere Personen, aus denen sich Belegschaften zunehmend zusammensetzen, in den Fokus. Zudem ist die Mehrheit der älteren Personen weiblich. Außerdem sind insbesondere ältere Frauen durch veränderte Lebensformen wie Scheidungen oder Brüchen im Erwerbsverlauf, z. B. aufgrund von Kindererziehung, zur Alterssicherung darauf angewiesen, einer Beschäftigung auch in höherem Alter nachzugehen. Daher sind ältere Frauen im Rahmen einer demographieorientierten Rekrutierung von besonderem Interesse. Hieraus ergeben sich jedoch weitere Herausforderungen für das Personalmanagement, denn die ältere Generation weist andere Werte als die jüngere auf. Dies kann durch die Beeinflussung kultureller Annahmen, Denk- und Verhaltensweisen zu einer Veränderung der bestehenden Unternehmenskultur führen. Für den Erfolg eines Unternehmens ist diese jedoch von besonderer Relevanz, da die konkrete Ausgestaltung der Kultur einen nachhaltigen Wettbewerbsvorteil darstellen kann.
