Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich BWL - Personal und Organisation, Note: 2,3, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Vor dem Hintergrund der weltweiten Finanz- und Wirtschaftskrise rückte das Thema der Managementvergütung mehr denn je in den Fokus des öffentlichen Interesses. Als Gründe für die globale Finanzkrise wurden in der öffentlichen Diskussion schnell überhöhte absolute Vergütungshöhen, erfolgsabhängige Bonuszahlungen und unangemessene Abfindungsregelungen im Top-Management (gerade im Bankensektor) ausgemacht. Die Vergütung von Vorständen soll - wenn man dem allgemeinen Tenor in der Öffentlichkeit Glauben schenkt - einen Anreiz zu "falschen" bzw. risikofreudigen Verhaltensweisen geben, die zwar kurzfristige Einzahlungsüberschüsse (und damit erfolgsabhängige Bonuszahlungen an den Vorstand) zur Folge haben können aber mit einem hohen unternehmerischen Risiko verbunden sind, durch welches die nachhaltige Entwicklung eines Unternehmens gefährdet werden kann. Neben dieser weltweiten Diskussion wurden speziell in Deutschland, gerade nach der Zusage von Staats-Garantien und weiteren Maßnahmen zur Stützung des Finanzmarktes, die Managerbezüge (insbesondere im Bankenwesen) intensiv diskutiert. Aus dieser gesellschaftlichen Diskussion bezüglich der Angemessenheit von Vorstandsvergütungen wuchs der Druck auf die Regierungen, die Bezüge im Top-Management schärfer zu regulieren. Vor diesem Hintergrund hat der Deutsche Bundestag in seiner Sitzung am 18. Juni 2009 mit dem Erlass des von den Fraktionen der CDU/CSU und SPD eingebrachten Entwurfes eines "Gesetzes zur Angemessenheit der Vorstandsvergütung" (VorstAG) reagiert. Das VorstAG soll dem Zweck dienen, Wirtschafts- und Finanzkrisen, als Resultat "falscher" Anreize (die kurzfristige Erfolge belohnen und eine nachhaltige Unternehmensentwicklung außer Acht lassen), zukünftig zu vermeiden.
