Projektarbeit aus dem Jahr 2017 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Pädagogische Psychologie, Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Bei dieser Arbeit handelt es sich um eine vorregistrierte Replikationsstudie der Studie von Job, Dweck und Walton (2010). Es soll gezeigt werden, inwiefern sich subjektive Theorien über Willenskraft auf das Arbeitsverhalten auswirken. In der Originalstudie von Job, Dweck und Walton (2010) konnte gezeigt werden, dass nach einer Manipulation der persönlichen Theorien über Willenskraft, der Ego- Depletion Effekt beeinflusst wird. Menschen, denen eine Nonlimited Ressource Theory induziert wurde, zeigen im Gegensatz zu Menschen, denen eine Limited Ressource Theory induziert wurde, keine beeinträchtige Selbstkontrollfähigkeit, nachdem sie eine Willenskraft erfordernde Aufgaben bearbeitet haben. Bei einer Aufgabe, die keine Willenskraft benötigt, zeigen sich keine Unterschiede. An der vorliegenden Studie nahmen 48 Teilnehmer (28 Frauen) zwischen 20 und 54 Jahren teil. Beim Studiendesign handelt es sich um ein 2x2 Between- Subject Design. Es wurde die persönliche Theorie über Willenskraft (UV1) und die Ego- Depletion (UV2) manipuliert und die Auswirkung auf die Bearbeitung des Stroop - Test (Stroop, 1935) (AV) gemessen. Die Manipulation der persönlichen Theorien hat in beiden Gruppen funktioniert. Das logistisch hierarisch lineare Model (HLM), welches zur Überprüfung der Moderation des Ego- Depletion Effekts durch die induzierten persönlichen Theorien über Willenskraft berechnet wurde, zeigte keine signifikante Effekte. Die Ergebnisse aus der Originalstudie konnten nicht bestätigt werden. Die Ergebnisse können geringfügig durch eine Abweichung zur Originalstudie erklärt werden. Jedoch benötigt es noch weitere Studien sowohl mit veränderten Designs, als auch mit weiteren Replikationsarbeiten, um die Erkenntnisse über den Ego- Depletion Effekt und auch dessen praktische Implikationen weiter zu erforschen.
