Versteht man unter Aufklarung eine theoretische Konzeption, fur welche die Autonomie des Subjekts grundlegend ist, eine padagogische Haltung, die eben jene Autonomie fordert, einen methodischen Anspruch auf Klarheit oder einen Interpretationsansatz, der die historischen Verwurzelungen philosophischer Texte beachtet und freilegt, mit dem Ziel, traditionsunabhangig und vorurteilsfrei deren Erklarungswert zu beurteilen und ihre systematische Bedeutung zu wurdigen, so sind Aufklarungen fur Klaus Dusings Wirken kennzeichnend. Mit seinem systematischen Werk Selbstbewusstseinsmodelle hat Klaus Dusing in die gegenwartig wieder lebhafte Debatte um die Probleme der Subjektivitat eine neue Konzeption der konkreten, autonomen Subjektivitat eingebracht. Kritisch gegenuber Ansatzen der historischen Epoche der Aufklarung ist Klaus Dusing darin, dass er hier zeigt, wie die Selbstbeziehung des Ich auf sich in unterschiedlichen Modellen zu einer Sinnanreicherung des Selbst fuhrt und kein sinnentleerter Formalismus der reinen Vernunft droht; dies hat Hegel an der Aufklarung kritisiert. Seine Arbeiten zu Kernproblemen der Philosophiegeschichte haben der Forschung immer wieder starke Impulse gegeben, etwa durch seine Habilitation Das Problem der Subjektivitat in Hegels Logik, in der Klaus Dusing nachweist, dass Hegels Logik eine Theorie der reinen Subjektivitat und nicht eine objektiv-ontologische Konzeption ist; diese Deutung hat der Hegel-Forschung eine ganz neue Perspektive eroffnet. Die Beitrage dieser Aufsatzsammlung, mit denen die Autoren ihren Lehrer Klaus Dusing ehren mochten, unternehmen den Versuch, sein aufklarerisches Anliegen fortzuschreiben: Dirk Fonfara untersucht das Problem der Struktur des Geltungsbereichs der Aristotelischen Ontologie; Kristina Engelhard setzt sich kritisch mit Leibniz' Konzeption der Monade als funktionaler Einheit aus Materie und substantieller Form auseinander. Dietmar H. Heidemann zeigt eine neue Begrundungsalternative fur den Kantischen Dualismus von Anschauung und Begriff auf. Rainer Schafer zeichnet die Entwicklung des Ubergangs von einem transzendental-kritischen zum metaphysischen Idealismus bei Fichte und Schelling nach. Christian Hanewald exponiert am Beispiel Tylor Burges und Hilary Putnams theorie-immanente Probleme externalistischer Bedeutungs- und Geisttheorien. Tobias Schlicht bringt Licht in die Kontroverse zwischen Dennett und Searle um das Verhaltnis von Gehirn und Bewusstsein im Kontext des Chinesischen-Zimmer-Argumentes. Anja Solbach analysiert, welche Bedeutung einerseits Holderlin, andererseits Hegel der Tragodie fur die Selbsterhellung der menschlichen Existenz in ihrem Verhaltnis zum Absoluten, zu Sittlichkeit, Freiheit und Geschichte zuschreiben. Morteza Ghasempour deutet Friedrich Nietzsche als Aufklarer der conditio humana: den Nihilismus des objektivierenden Denkens kann allein eine kunstlerische Seinsweise uberwinden.
