Die Ergebnisse der PISA-Studie zeigen die Bedeutung von Lernaufgaben für Schulleistungen. In diesem Buch wird versucht, die Frage zu beantworten, wie Aufgaben bzw. Aufgaben-Sets gestaltet sein sollten, um lernwirksam zu sein. Zunächst werden theoretische instruktionspsychologische Grundlagen erarbeitet. Mithilfe dieser Grundlagen werden lernrelevante Aufgabenmerkmale wie Aufgabenkomplexität, -variation und -zugriff modellhaft identifiziert. Im Anschluss daran werden die Ergebnisse einer experimentellen Studie vorgestellt, in der unterschiedliche Aufgaben-Sets auf ihre Lern- und Motivationswirksamkeit hin getestet wurden.
