About the Book

From what Once Was: Prophet of Bas and imbued with the strength and magic of her goddess, Roseen is a woman bound by faith and compelled by honor. When a powerful vision calls her back to Madani, her home, she encounters a land ravaged by war and desecrated by marauders. She also finds Cade, a talented blacksmith forced to craft swords for the invading Army of Righteousness and with whom she shared a childhood and now shares a different type of bond altogether. To what May Be: Cade spent his life as a smith forging steel simultaneously the strongest and most intricate in the land, his passion fueled by his love for Roseen as his magic fueled by the Gods. The force of Liand's crusade has crashed upon Madani's shores, and it is Cade's weapons and heart that must protect his people. Taken to Lorilindo, the seat of Liand's power, Cade must forge not only the Sunsword but something new, his destiny. And to what Will Be: The blood runs down her skin like ice through her veins as Roseen makes her way back to Lorilindo, where she will confront her past, her lover, and her destiny. Where Cade will forge in her heart a love as strong, sure, and intricate as the steel he shapes at his forge.Their heat consuming, their passion intense, and their devotion without equal, they will bring together their magic and metal to fulfill their desires and fates as they seek Asylum anew. These are the stories of Asylum: She is 60-13, a scribe of Syrse and the road to Asylum. But today she will seek His truth among the Truth, seek His name -and today He will reveal hers. And its Song: When Roseen met Bram, she accepted him as a fosterling because of his mother. It is his gift, however, that will give her path meaning and strengthen her heart. Priestesses were not mothers in the old world, but in the new one she and Cade forge, Roseen must learn. For the first time, the Asylum trilogy has been combined with its two short stories: River Boy and Song of As
About the Author: The 2010 TWCS Original Fiction Contest winner for best supernatural story, Miya Kressin began her writing career many years ago. Following college, she set her creativity aside to focus on work and then raising her children. Eventually, she returned to sharing her dreams by creating oral stories and fantasy worlds for her young children and then put pen to paper to preserve these stories for them. After discovering an online community of amateur writers and readers, Miya resumed writing the stories she dreamt of for years. Now signed with Exciting Press for multiple books, Miya is enjoying the support of "traditional" publishing with the flavor of the indie author environment. Miya has a degree in theosophical studies and psychology from Carthage College. She is also an avid fiber artist; a hobby she enjoys with her husband. In her limited free time, she can be found spinning, knitting, weaving, crocheting and lace-making. She's currently learning how to make glass beads, although she's finding that it is far harder working with fire and glass than it is wool and a spinning wheel. Her educational background and experiences heavily influence her fictional writing. Miya is a stay at home mother in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where she lives with her husband and three daughters.
