Praise
Zephyr breezes that come sighing through tall fir trees,
And sweet honeycomb nestled in a hive of bees.
The mountains reach toward the stars as if to say...
"This is the Altar of God; come kneel here and pray."
Where does the wind live? Who paints the sunset or suspends the Northern Lights? How does it happen, and why?
God, our Creator and Saviour, is the answer to all of our unanswerable questions, the Master Artist worshipped in this collection of inspirational poems. And He was the soft, soothing peace flowing into a homesick heart when Beth Sundberg wrote her first poem in the early 80s.
Since penning those lines as a young schoolteacher, Beth continues to write poems to process what she sees, hears, and learns on the mountain peaks and in the deep valleys of life. She distills decades of Christian wisdom into poetry in the pages of The Artist's Canvas. Her words are an offering to our Heavenly Father and a gift that will bring you joy, encouragement, comfort, and a reminder of our eternal home.
BETH SUNDBERG writes poetry amid the activities of her life as a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and very busy caterer. A devoted member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Beth's fervent prayer is that her poems will draw readers to know and love Jesus.
