About the Book

Aquamarine 67, roman-vérité, se situe en 1967 en France, à Paris, au Quartier Latin, entre la rue du Pot de Fer et le café de Buci.
Il s'est achevé en mai 1968, début historique d'un autre monde, d'une autre civilisation, à Paris comme ailleurs.Le texte d'origine a été écrit entre 1969 et 1971.
Retrouvé par hasard, vingt-cinq ans plus tard, il a été retranscrit et annoté au cours de l'été 1995. Beaucoup de conversations ou réflexions sont en anglo-américain.
Des repérages ont été ajoutés à la fin sur les personnages principaux, secondaires et les personnalités rencontrées comme Georges Whitman, Tel Joans, Langston Hugues, Lanza del Vasto, Joan Baez, Donovan...
Des repérages ont été ajoutés sur les lieux, les itinéraires, autour de la Contrescarpe, le Pot de Fer, la Sorbonne, le carrefour de Buci, la rue Visconti.
Sur les livres que nous lisions à l'époque ou nos musiques, très riches (pop, classic).
Des repères sociologiques sur la vie au Quartier latin avant mai 68.
Mais ni la forme ni le style n'en ont été modifiés, encore moins la non-ponctuation ou les variations de concordance de temps, pour garder la fraîcheur d'origine, narcissique et altruiste, intimiste et universaliste.
Itinéraire d'une initiation, peinture d'un monde perdu, document culturel, littéraire, sociologique, écrit par petites touches impressionnistes, construit comme un film, pas de chapitres mais des séquences, pas de paragraphes mais des gros plans, au rythme cassé, haché, rapide ou méditatif, souffle qui se cherche, parfois plein et ample, parfois court et haletant.
Pensée qui n'a pas de point et met sur le même plan visions, émotions, impressions, sensations, réflexions, comme dans la vie, ou du moins dans la mienne.
Nos chemins avaient été, trente ans plus tard, ceux d'Anaïs Nin et de ses amis, ceux d'Hemingway dans les années vingt. Une ou deux générations. J'avais pensé que mon premier livre ne serait lisible qu'après ce laps de temps. Je le lance maintenant comme on lance une bouteille à la mer, dans l'océan du World Wide Web, où je me sens à ma place comme un poisson dans l'eau, car j'y publie depuis 1995.
La première édition d'aquamarine 67 a eu lieu en février 1997 sur mon site du club-internet puis sur free.fr.
La deuxième édition a lieu sur Amazon Kindle Store en janvier 2010.
La troisième édition est au format papier en impression à la demande.
Aquamarine 67 est un roman-vérité qui s'adresse à celles et ceux qui ont toujours 20 ans dans leur coeur.
Ecrit il y a cinquante ans, le roman de jeunesse garde son impertinence, son enthousiasme et son avant-gardisme.
