Cette étude examine dans quelle mesure l'autonomie de l'apprenant peut être favorisée dans une situation d'apprentissage mixte impliquant l'intégration d'un système de gestion de cours dans un cours d'anglais traditionnel en face à face. L'objectif est de déterminer s'il existe des preuves qu'une telle intervention entraîne des changements dans la perception et la pratique des élèves par rapport à leur apprentissage autonome. La recherche utilise à la fois des méthodes qualitatives et quantitatives et adopte une approche d'étude de cas avec des éléments d'une conception quasi-expérimentale. Les données de quatre outils de recherche: c.-à-d. Questionnaire, journaux d'apprentissage des étudiants, entretiens et observation en classe sont triangulées et fusionnées pour augmenter la validité et la fiabilité des résultats, ce qui suggère que le système de gestion des cours joue un rôle de premier plan dans la création et le développement de quatre aspects de l'autonomie de l'apprenant. Ce sont la perception autonome, le comportement autonome, la stratégie autonome et l'interdépendance.
