About the Book

Christians of all denominations, creeds, and confessions believe in the final day when Christ returns in the clouds. For Christians, this is their 'living hope'. Theologians have written a boat load of books concerning the Pre, Post, and Amillennial interpretations of the end times and each one claims to be correct. The author leans toward the Amillennial view but grasps the idea of them all. With the rise of the corona virus, the terrible forest fires and earthquakes, the super strong hurricanes and rising ocean temperatures, the exploding population, everyone is thinking at the present time of an approaching apocalypse. Currently, people are questioning their reality; 'what is really going on?' Well, what if, 30 years in the future, our worldly life all comes to a conclusion? That's what this book is about. The author took the seventeen signs of the end times as seen in the New Testament, the three Jewish signs of the coming Elijah, signs that Jesus and his Apostles referred to, he took the millennial interpretations handed down to us over the past two centuries, combined them and crafted a fictional tale as to how the end of humankind and Christ's predicted return might happen. The story takes place 30 years in the future. It is about a family, one of a few hanger-ons concerning New Testament Christianity. This family along with their Christian friends encounter the result of several generations exchanging the truth of the Gospel for a lie. Not even the seminaries believe in the inerrancy of Scripture having replaced it with Barthian ideology and humanism as the foundation for a kind and more gentle society. The President of the United States concurs with a plan that would unite all religions into one eliminating discord in society. The President hands congress the plans to create a nationalistic American church founded on a deist platform that would unite all Christians together and unite all Christians with their Jewish and Muslim compatriots. Most secular minded Americans can't accept the growing totalitarian vision of this President. Hundreds of militias rise swearing allegiance to the constitution. The president is aware of a civil war in the making and blames the unrest on the divisive Christian denominations. He wants to close their doors quickly. Russia sets its eyes on the newly discovered oil fields in Israel and joins forces with the old enemies of Israel to launch an invasion that will destroy Israel's autonomy and bring it into subjection of Russia's domination. So, NATO prepares for war along with Israel's greatest ally, the United States of America. A Third World War is swiftly brewing and it will be fought over Israel.A militia member assassinates the First Lady and the President declares war on all militias. All Christian families must deal with this escalating turmoil. Many individuals are leaving the country to safer places, or building camps in the forest to run to when necessary, but unfortunately for most Christians, they have no place to go. Civil war breaks out and Christians are rounded up. Our protagonists must flee into the hills to a safe place. They seek shelter on the ridge but the army knows of their hiding place and quickly advances. Knowing that the army is a mere moment away, they prepare to die. At the very instant of death, every human on the planet hears the mighty blast of Michael's trumpet and the Lord returns with his angels. In an instant our protagonists with their friends experience the long-awaited rapture up into the air to be with their Lord. The book continues in celebration with a few Scripture texts that could lead the non-Christian reader to the gift of eternal life.
