La calidad es un importante tema de estudio que ha contribuido al logro del éxito de instituciones tanto públicas como privadas, convirtiéndose en prioridad al permitir conocer y mejorar la percepción de los usuarios respecto a la calidad de sus servicios. Es por tal motivo que esta investigación tiene como objetivo identificar y analizar los factores determinantes de la calidad de los servicios de salud pública desde la percepción del usuario en Tamaulipas, México, la cual se llevó a cabo mediante la estrategia de estudio de caso. Cabe señalar, que para diseñar el cuestionario de esta investigación se tomó como referente el instrumento SERVQUAL, ya que evalúa la percepción de la calidad de los servicios desde el exterior de la organización. Este libro consta de cinco capítulos; en el primero se muestran los antecedentes del estudio de esta variable en el contexto, así como la situación actual del entorno sanitario; el capítulo dos expone la revisión de literatura; en el tercero se despliega el diseño metodológico utilizado; en el capítulo cuatro se presentan los resultados de la investigación; y por último en el quinto capítulo se exponen la conclusión y recomendaciones.
