"Ich bin gestresst." Diesen Satz hören viele Menschen, er ist allgegenwärtig. Laut repräsentativer Studien geht man davon aus, dass die Hälfte aller Krankheiten in den Industriestaaten stressbedingt ist. Gesundheitswissenschaftler sind sich einig, dass dieser Stress steigen wird und gerade Lehrpersonen die am stärksten betroffene Berufsgruppe ist. Das Lehrpersonal ist in seinem beruflichen Alltag starken Belastungen ausgesetzt. Deshalb bezieht sich diese Studie auf den Bereich der Lehrenden. Die Studie geht näher auf die Grundlagen von Stress und Ärger ein. Es werden Informationen über die Wirkung von Stress, über verschiedene Stressmodelle sowie über Stressoren und deren Auswirkungen gegeben. Hauptsächlich richtet die Studie ihr Augenmerk aber auf verschiedene Anti-Stress-Strategien und deren Anwendung in der Erwachsenenbildung. Dabei werden sieben Anti-Stress-Strategien (Coping, Bewegung, Ernährung, Entspannung/Schlafen, Humor, Soziale Bereiche) per Fragebogen ausgegeben und von Lehrenden in der Erwachsenenbildung auf ihre Anwendbarkeit bewertet. In dem Fragebogen wurde nach der Anwendungshäufigkeit und dem erzielten Erfolgsgrad der jeweiligen Anti-Stress-Strategie gefragt. Zwei Fragen konnten beantwortet werden: Welche Anti-Stress-Strategien werden in der Erwachsenenbildung eingesetzt und welche nicht bzw. welche Methode war die erfolgsreichste/beliebteste? Aufgrund der Befragung werden Handlungsempfehlungen im Hinblick auf die Anwendbarkeit von Anti-Stress-Strategien in der EWB gegeben.
About the Author: Manja Wendt, Diplom Gesundheitswirtin (FH), Master of Arts Erwachsenenbildung (Univ.) und Anti-Gewalt-Trainerin und Ausbilderin nach dem Magdeburger Modell. Derzeit tätig als Schulsozialarbeiterin an einer Ganztagsschule. Die Bewältigung von Ärger und Stress ist ein Schwerpunktbereich in ihrer Arbeit mit Lehrenden, Schülern und Schülerinnen sowie Teilnehmern und Teilnehmerinnen. Außerdem legt sie als Lehrende in der Ausbildung zum Anti-Gewalt-Trainer bzw. Trainerin großen Wert auf den Umgang mit Ärger und Stress der zukünftigen Trainer und Trainerinnen.
