Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Pädagogische Psychologie, Note: 1,0, Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Als "Jahrzehnt des Gehirns"1 bezeichnete man die 1990-Jahre und immer noch sind die Publikationen zum Forschungsgegenstand Gehirn inflationär. Gehirnforscher wie Manfred Spitzer, Gerhard Roth und Gerald Hüther, die in den vergangenen Jahren immer mehr in den medialen Fokus gerückt sind, beschäftigen sich u.a. mit den neurobiologischen Grund-lagen des "Lernens". Statt einem Beitrag der Lehr-Lernforschung wurde den angehenden Referendaren des Begrüßungsseminars zum Sommersemester 2011 der Lehrämter in Frankfurt am Main ein Interview von Spitzer gezeigt. Dabei äußerte der Gehirnforscher Kritikpunkte am Schul- und Bildungswesen in Deutschland, welche im Anschluss im Plenum diskutiert wurden. "Wenn das Thema "Lernen" in den öffentlichen Medien diskutiert wird, spielt gegenwärtig die Gehirnforschung die Hauptrolle, nicht die Psychologie und schon gar nicht die Pädagogik"2, heißt es bei Schultheis 2009. Dementsprechend wurden einige Pädagogen durch das Vordringen der Hirnforschung in das Terrain der Lehr- und Lernprozesse verunsichert, andere erhofften sich jedoch auch einen positiven Beitrag der Neurowissenschaft etwa im Hinblick auf die anhaltende Bildungsmisere in Deutschland. Sowohl in der Schule als auch in einigen Erwachsenenbildungseinrichtungen wird heute immer noch vorwiegend der Frontalunterricht praktiziert; die Organisation des Unterrichts und die Organisation des Lernens liegt weiterhin in der Hand des Lehrenden und die Lernenden bleiben nach wie vor in einer weitgehend passiven Rolle. Aus Sicht der Neurowissenschaften hat dieser Zu-stand keinen Bezug zum nachhaltigen Lernen und sollte überwunden werden.
