After a 4 year hiatus, we're excited to announce that the London Annual, the magazine/guidebook we produced for several years, is BACK! And we need your help to make it happen.
It's becoming increasingly clear that travel to the UK for Americans (and Canadians, Australians, etc) will return to some semblance of normality starting in 2022.
I was listening to someone I admire very much - Rick Steves - a few weeks ago and he said something that struck me. Basically, every travel guidebook is now out of date because of closures, openings, new procedures, etc due to COVID-19. It's going to take time for travel writers to fan out and update guidebooks so they're accurate. Steves said that they plan to have accurately updated guidebooks by 2023. That's not going to help those of us who may want to return to the UK next year.
So, I thought we would do something in the interim.
We're bringing back the London Annual!
We stopped producing this a few years ago, but this is the perfect time to bring it back. Basically, the London Annual 2022 will be your interim catchup guidebook to London in 2022.
In the 2022 London Annual, we will provide:
- 128 full color pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches
- Special Events and Exhibitions to see in 2022
- Which attractions have closed
- What attractions have opened
- The London Hotel Landscape
- Travel Procedures
- How flying is different
- How London has changed from COVID-19
In addition to all this, we'll have some lovely feature articles to help transport you to London and give some insight into history you may not have heard about before. It will be a mix of travel information and long-read articles about London, its culture and history.
It will be full color and 128 pages in total and jam-packed with London goodness. To be as accurate and as updated as possible we will publish and ship these in November 2021 (in time for Christmas gifting). It will contain NO ADVERTISEMENTS. If you remember the previous London Annuals, you'll know that it always turned out to be a beautiful keepsake.
