In the winter of 1997, Comair flight 3272 departed the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport on January9. Stuck in a holding pattern well outside the Detroit airport, the plane crashed in the icy conditions. All 29 people aboard, which included three crewmembers, were killed.
