About the Book
A Chicago native, a kind and gentle man living in Chicago, on his way home from work one late Friday night on a subway train, got robbed, and killed. He wakes up to find himself in heaven where he meets Michael, the Archangel of war. Michael asked him to go back to earth as an angel in his army of angels, sent around the world to wage a war on humanity and crime. Man's dirty wars, that bring human indignity, human injustices, and death around the world to the innocent humans caught in the crossfires of other evil humans. John Griswall is his name, and this is his story, true to fact as I know it. John becomes an angel of death in Michael's army. John goes back to Chicago and fights crime, and the injustices done to humans, by other humans. He goes around the city of Chicago killing criminals, sending their souls to hell. The police think there is a vigilante killer loose in the city doing the killing. He does not discriminate in picking his criminal victims, picking from a range of petty thieves, murders, Child molesters, rapists, mob bosses, politicians, and dirty cops. The dragnet is on for a deadly serial killer. Wherever he goes, and whoever he kills, he leaves his calling card. A death card found on the body only he can leave, sending out the word it was him bringing death to all criminals who cross his path. A team of hard-nosed veteran detectives, try to find and stop this vigilante only to find out he is a real angel. What are you going to do to a real angel sent from heaven? You cannot kill or imprison a real angel. Detective Sargent, Christy Evans who leads her team of homicide detectives are hot on his trail chasing a vigilante killer. They continued mopping up the carnage of dead bodies after each of the murders hoping to get one step closer to him, and stopping this killer. After some very intense investigations, and a dozen murders later, Detective Evans, and some police officers find out the true facts, and think this is a real angel that has come to earth and is doing all the killing. No human has the super human strength to do what this angel does in his methods of killing. Detective Evans is willing to follow him into the pits of hell if that is what it takes to catch him and ask him why? "Why now, and who is next, is the most important questions, Christy is willing to risk her own life to find out the answers. Detective Evans faces opposition and conflict, from those who do not believe in angels and demons, heaven, and hell. Some people believe in such things, and some do not, which causes her great turmoil in her own ranks. Some people must be convinced the hard way by this one sole detective, this is a real angel, and heaven does exist. What do you do with a real angel from heaven killing criminals, and finding bodies by the dozens? He does not fall under man's written laws. The stakes have never been higher in the history of humankind, for the grand prize of human souls and earth. People soon find out around the world as well, angels are very real. Lucifer sends his angels and demons to Chicago to stop this one lone angel from victory. As John does his duty and the body count starts climbing, humans are forced to face the hard truths about themselves, and this one lone vigilante angel loose in the city. They are forced to praise him, or hate him. Learn to live with him or face what is coming if they do not. Join him or die, you are given a choice to make, to repent or burn in the fiery pits of hell condemning your soul forever. Criminals have had a foothold in Chicago since Chicago was born and not willing to give up their city without a fight. Chicago is forced to come to terms with new laws, and this angel here to carry them out. They learn to live with him, and a new Chicago. The hard choices are theirs, as I tell John's story about the day an Angel came to Chicago.
About the Author: Hello everyone, my name is J.C. Jones. I was born and raised in Indianapolis Indiana. My nationality is Caucasian/Cherokee Native American since my father was white and my mother was a full blood Cherokee from the Reservation of Cherokee North Carolina. I always loved to read as a kid being raised, in a poor neighborhood, that would take me away from the hardships of being from a poor family. I especially love true crime stories. I love a mystery, who done it, story. My favorites are ghost or horror stories. As a kid growing up, I always wanted to be a writer, having something to say and getting people to listen to my thoughts. I now, love to write a good horror or mystery novel. I spent 14 years in the military, traveling around the world, visiting every place of history that I could find, learning about the world and the people that make us all different in some small way, but all the same at the same time. I went to the university of Phoenix and studied Criminal Justice, Criminal Psychology, and Journalism. I am about to retire from the State of Indiana after 20 years, working in the prison system, Indiana Dept. of Corrections. I have plenty of material to work with, living around the world, and working with Criminals most of my entire life, so I plan to write full time once I retire. "My first book is, "The Angel of Death" by J.C. Jones. It was a learning experience publishing it for the first time. Now that I think I have all the bugs worked out in publishing, I am now working on the sequel to the, The Angel of Death. I also have other short story, ghost books. One coming out very soon called "Tales of the Dead", which has a few good ghost stories in it which I think the reader will like. Peace to all on earth, love you, J.C. Jones
