Diese Ausarbeitung befasst sich mit dem Coachen von Führungskräften durch junge unternehmensinterne Mitarbeiter. Man spricht hier auch vom so genannten "Reverse Mentoring" . Diese Form des Coachings weicht enorm von der bisher betrachteten Sichtweise ab. Die konservative Form des Coachings beinhaltete die Betreuung durch einen lebens-, berufs- und führungserfahrenen Coach, der schon mehrere Berufsjahre vorweisen kann und mindestens ein Studium der Psychologie mit dem Nebenfach Wirtschaftslehre, sowie einige psychotherapeutische Zusatzausbildungen absolviert hat. Was würde denn passieren, wenn man die Führungsebene durch junge unerfahrene Mitarbeiter auf einem ganz bestimmten Gebiet coachen lässt? Die meisten Top-Manager würden dieses Vorhaben negieren, da es gegen ihre Erfahrungswerte mit dem Coaching spricht und man es sicherlich sogar als Paradoxon betrachten würde. Doch lässt sich diese Aussage so einfach pauschalisieren? Die Anforderungen an einen Coach sind so verschieden, wie auch dessen Einsatzmöglichkeiten. Die Lufthansa übernimmt in dieser Problematik eine wichtige Vorreiterrolle, indem sie ihren jungen Mitarbeitern die Möglichkeit gibt, das Topmanagement im Bereich des World Wide Web zu coachen. Um dieses Thema ausreichend zu beleuchten befasst sich diese Ausarbeitung zunächst allgemein mit dem Coaching.
