And Then is a charming volume of poetry by Aaron Daniel. Exquisitely constructed and thematically rich. Inviting readers to reflect on love, passion, race, loss and identity. His words will make you smile, and take your mind on a journey to hundreds of different places, filled with beauty and wonder.
From the torment of `Liquid Courage' to the hopefulness of 'C Minor' there are poems which will take you in every direction imaginable, some seeing the darker side of life, and others finding joy in the smallest of things.
As an added extra, woven through the book like a beating heart, you will find a short story with a strong message, bringing the poems together into a whole that is more than the sum of it's parts. This is the essence of poetry.
About the Author: Aaron Daniel was born and raised in London, along with his three sisters, and he still lives in the city today. From a young age he enjoyed books and the arts and he occasionally relaxes by sketching. His true love, however, takes the form of writing and poetry, which he finds therapeutic. Some of his favourite writers include Kahlil Gibran, Maya Angelou, Rumi, Langston Hughes and John Keats. When he relaxes Aaron likes to listen to an eclectic range of music, from James Brown to Led Zeppelin, Prince, Gil Scott Heron, Public Enemy, Krs 1, Tupac Shakur and Bob Marley. He also enjoys travelling and has spent time in many places which may be considered to be off the beaten track, such as Vietnam, Sardinia and Brazil, as well as better known destinations like Spain. Aaron also likes to take some time out to enjoy nature, walking on Hampstead Heath in London, discovering street art and spending lots of time with his young son. His new book, And Then, is available on Amazon and is a collection of poems with a dynamic short story running through them.
