Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 1,7, Universität Vechta; früher Hochschule Vechta, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Schon bei der Uraufführung des Dramas "Die Räuber" in Mannheim 1782 galt das Drama als eine Sensation. "Himmel und Hölle kamen hier zusammen, hier drückte sich das Lebensgefühl einer jungen Generation aus." (Koopmann 1988) Und noch heute gehören Schiller´s Räuber zu festen Literaturkanon. Dies liegt nicht zuletzt an zwei faszinierenden Charakteren des Stückes: Franz und Karl Moor, die ungleichen Brüder, die beide unterschiedlich, aber letzten Endes dramatisch scheitern. "Die Helden seiner Jugenddramen sind Monstren an Tugend oder Laster, von einer ungeheuren Einmaligkeit und Eindrücklichkeit." (Frey 1966) Ich möchte in dieser Hausarbeit herausfinden, was dieses Scheitern der beiden Brüder hervorgerufen hat und stelle zu Beginn meiner Erläuterungen die These auf, dass beide Brüder aufgrund derselben Tatsache scheitern: Sie überschreiten moralische Grenzen und gesellschaftlich verankerte Normen und können deshalb nicht in der Gesellschaft überstehen. Alle Schritte dieser Hausarbeit haben das Ziel, das persönliche Scheitern der Figuren im Zusammenhang mit moralischer Grenzüberschreitung zu analysieren. Zunächst einmal werde ich mich dem jüngeren Bruder Franz, seinem Handeln und seiner Philosophie widmen. Ich werde herausstellen, inwiefern er versucht, die Natur zu fesseln und moralische Werte zu überwinden. Des Weiteren werde ich ihn mit der Aufklärung in Verbindung setzen. In einem zweiten Schritt untersuche ich seinen Bruder Karl. Ich beschäftige mit der Frage, ob der Charakter Karl, der Räuber und Mörder, nun als "böse" oder doch eher "fehlgeleitet" interpretiert werden muss. Des Weiteren werde ich auch hier den Grund seines verbrecherischen Handelns analysieren. Danach setze ich Figur Karl in Beziehung zum Sturm und Drang, da oft behauptet wird, dass dort eine Verbindung besteht. Zum Schluss
