Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich BWL - Offline-Marketing und Online-Marketing, Note: 2,3, FernUniversität Hagen (Lehrstuhl für Betriebswirtschaftslehre, insbesondere Marketing), Veranstaltung: Online-Marketing, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Am Anfang des Jahres 2000 begann die Spekulationsblase des Internet nach der scheinbar unaufhaltsamen Boom-Phase der Neunzigerjahre zu bröckeln. Viele Marktteilnehmer prophezeiten bereits den Zusammenbruch des Interneteinsatzes als kommerzielles Instrument. Dies war jedoch nicht der Fall, denn die werbenden Unternehmen erhöhten weiterhin ihre Ausgaben für die Online-Werbung. Allein in Deutschland betrugen die Investitionen für Online-Werbung im Jahr 2008 circa 3,67 Milliarden Euro. Jene lagen im Jahr 2007 noch bei rund 2,9 Milliarden Euro. Dies entspricht einer Steigerungsrate von 26 %. Für das krisenbehaftete Jahr 2009 wurde seitens des Online-Vermarkterkreis im Bundesband Digitale Wirtschaft (OVK) eine weitere Steigerung in Höhe von 10 % prognostiziert. Im Bereich der Online-Werbung nimmt das, Affiliate-Marketing' neben der, klassischen Online-Werbung' und der, Suchwortvermarktung' eine immer wichtiger werdende Position ein. Während für die Suchwortvermarktung und die klassische Werbung jeweils ein Wachstum für das Jahr 2009 von 10 % prognostiziert wurde, sollen die Investitionen beim Affiliate-Marketing sogar auf 308 Millionen Euro ansteigen, was einem Wachstum von 15 % entspräche.
